Monday madness …

As times goes by so slowly, the sun keeps a shining and we keep a singing. Why does playing the same songs every night, hanging out with the same people 24/7, wearing the same clothes every show, drinking too many, too warm beers, doing the same warm-up routine, sleeping in the same tiny dark and sweaty bunk on the bus, never get boring?! Because, ladies and gentlemen, it does not. After hundreds of shows, it still is surprising. You always think you know what kind of show it's going to be, but you never really have a clue. Yesterday in Köln, playing Gebäude 9, I had the best of times. We all did. It was what we like to think of as a perfect night. Everything was spot on from the get go. I just love that place! Thanks again to all y'all, who came out on a sunday nite. And thanx to all the wonderful people in Osnabrück and Bremen – both nights were amazing! The best of times.

As you can tell … I'm digging the shit out of this tour, this weather, this atmosphere and every wee hour. Positive is the new black. Because frankly, what could top that? So … I'll order another espresso, put my shades back on and start loading our gear. In seven hours it's time to do it all over again. Putting on that stinking shirt, those still-wet-from-the-sweat-of-last-nights-show-pants and claim that stage together with five of the best people I know. If you live in Koblenz, come join us won't you!
